Hello. I am totaly stuck with my congo jr and laptop running W7 and capture on it. I have allready succeded with os 10.5 and a lanbox and that was easy. I think i have checked everything in the congo system setup, and i have used DMX workshop tools to check if artnet are working, but with no result I have tryed so many different options i don't in what order i should start. This is what i have done: Congo direct to laptop without router DMX workshop tools installed but no reaction. I tryed to look att the diodbulb on the ethernetport at the same time i sending dmx, but here is no reaction. it just flashes 2 flash each second. i have read that you should have ipx protocol installed in windows 7, but i have also read that this protocol is not suported by windows 7. Is it nescecary to have a router? Is it nescecary to have a loopback adapter, and in what case? Is it nescecary to have ipx protocol installed in windows to see if "DMX workshop tools" reacts on dmx data, or se the bulb flashing on the ethernet-port?? Where should i start? Best regards / Fredrik

Hi Fredrik,
- You do not need the IPX protocol.
- You do not need the loopback adapter if you use a real console and a computer.
- You can use ArtNet, ETCNet2 or sACN to connect with Capture.
- You can use a router or a crossover network cable (not a regular "patch" cable).
- You need to set up the IP adress of the computer to be on the same network as the Congo Jr.
- You should see flashing on the network ports if things work.
Start there and see what happens!

Hey I failed with every everything I tried so I brought my own Os x macbook Suddenly Congo and capture just worked. And the Ethernet diod did not flash in this case. Maybe is this, as you said a ip adress issue. I have noticed that the local conection in the "network sharing center" comes and disappears every third second. Thanks for the answer /Fredrik
