Hello,

I am working in Capture 2020 Student Edition and was wondering if I could configure/program in a fixture not listed in the library then import it into my show file to use.

Is this possible?

Thanks,
Caitlyn

With Capture Student edition you are only allowed to use the limited library that comes with your installation.

In standard editions, if you are missing anything from our library or you come across with any fixturing issue, please e-mail library@capture.se and we will help you out. Capture does not support building your own fixtures, but you may use our generic library with many customizable fixture properties.

Hi.

I have severeal fixtures that are not listed in the library. I've created fixture profiles in Onyx's Fixture library but would have liked to be able to create and import my fixture to Capture without having to contact Customer Service all the time

Please add import capability to Capture's Library (User Fixture Library)

You may post this idea in the dedicated official public forum named Feature Requests.
There are many benefits to this, and we would like to share with you a few:
-Open, public and transparent communication.
-One post per feature request, keeping each thread focused and open for extending the discussion.
-Anyone can search if a request has already been placed.
-Anyone can vote, thus promoting the feature, without having to rewrite a description of it.
-Capture support agents focus on servicing end users instead of listing feature requests in the backlog.
-Capture product manager discussing with end users publicly.
