I must say I'm very happy that we've keyboard shortcuts, but isn't like normally other Apple software.
Example: We don't just click "O" to open the project. Often we're using
"⌘ + O"
like as in Windows version using
"Ctrl + O"
.
I'll recommend you to add ⌘-click/Cmd before O and also to other keyboard shortcuts.
"Y"
or
"Ctrl + Y"
for
redo
is a very old keyboard shortcut. This reminds me about PC version. But I like better in Mac version as
"Shift+⌘+Z".
I'll recommend you to read the link below from Wikipedia, and may follow this, so it'll be more easy for us Mac users to use this. And we know better than we must to learn all new and be very confusing.

The amount of feedback we get on what keys to use for keyboard shortcuts is amazing. Window users ask us to change to "Ctrl + O" and Mac users ask us to change to "⌘ + O". The funny thing is that if you press the keyboard shortcuts you are asking for, you will discover that it works! There is no need to learn anything new.
In a word processor for instance, there's a difference between pressing "Ctrl + O" and "O" because one of them will insert an "O" in the text document and the other will trigger opening a document. But, since Capture isn't a word processor, there is strictly no requirement what so ever to press Ctrl or ⌘.
We might change to using Ctrl and ⌘ shortcuts, but it's a very low priority task at the moment.
