dear all,

i have some problems with my renderings;

in the room there is so much haze that it just looks unrealistic. i played along with the atmosphere and atmosphere contrast, but if i turn them down (working with 15% right now) the beams loose too much brightness. in my example (see picture attached) you cant`t even see the beams of the mac aura althought the zoom is completely closed.

i tried to work with the automatic lighting option, but the it doesn`t work out for me as well. the best option until now is working with the "beam atmospheric detail". if i turn that to "very low" i think that there is less haze, so the beams get a little brighter.

my rendering setup is:

multiple apertures visualization: automatic

atmospheric resolution: hight

beam atmospheric detail: very low

beam shadow resolution: high

I`m working with windows 7 on a dell dual core cpu with a nvidia quattro.

Has anybody some suggestions or the same problem?

(Attached you can find my setup (screenshot) and two examples; one "automatic lighting on", and one "automatic lighting off")

Hi,

We have had a few users reporting an annoyance over this effect, yes. The problem is that the rendering in Argo is more realistic, but unfortunately in real life you normally have more smoke on stage and less in the audience, which you cannot do anything about in Argo. This is something we are currently working on. In the meanwhile I can only recommend placing the camera closer to the stage in order to minimize the amount of haze that you illuminate.
