So for the first time, I'm having trouble with a complex Sketchup model that I was sent from our scenic designer. Wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks for simplifying the model down a bit. It imports no problem but then just makes Capture incredibly slow and sluggish.

I've had (what I think are) more complex models than this with no problems before, so I'm hoping someone might have some insight into some tricks that have worked for them in the past because I am not well versed in Sketchup.

It also has weird material importing. For instance, the stage floor is wooden. When imported, it's still wooden but it's blue...

Hi,

It sounds like you simply have a very complex / large / detailed object. This will inevitably slow things down, not much to do about it except if you can simplify it or exclude parts of it.

Through the help of the scenic designer, we narrowed it down to some complex ropes. Deleted those and the problem went away.

Now, I'm still having the issue of some of my textures importing with a blue-tint to them - any ideas on that?

Hi,

I think it would be best if you sent your SketchUp file to support@ for the analysis of the blue tint.
