hi captures,

is it possible to create objects (for example boxes) that are transparent in the live view?

transparent = you can look through, only light is not enough.

thanks a lot for your help,

sebastian.

Hi bmp_music,

Yes, but it does not work very well at the moment. This is something we're planning to fix for 2.8!

Hi Lars, When working on improving this feature, please could you kind in mind it's use for producing a "bleed through" gauze effect. This would require the transparency to vary according to the view and also the "light source transparency" to vary according to the angle the light intercepts the surface. If you and the Capture team are able to implement transparency so that this effect can be created also, i'd be a very happy man indeed! Any plans to be able to animate set in the future? How fantastic it would be to be able to set 2 positions for a piece of set, and then control the transition between the two via a single DMX channel...then I could fly my gauze out after the bleed through, or watch my set revolve in real time and really impress everyone!! I don't believe anyone else can do that yet...2.9???? ;-)

That's great to hear. I very much look forward to trying it out. Not sure if you were including my "live visualisation scene change" suggestion but I hope so!! :-) Cheers Colin

Hello again Colin,

I'm sorry I didn't answer your question about scene change! You will be happy to learn that this is already supported - you want to add a motion controller to your project! Check out what's written about it in the manual. :-)

Well I had no idea that facility existed! That's brilliant. Thankyou for letting me know.
