Hi,
I’m looking for the recommended workflow in Capture for creating a rear projection screen.
For front projection, I usually use a simple flat object (or thin box) from the Library and set its width/height as the projection surface. That works fine.
For rear projection, I’m unsure about the best approach:
Should the screen be a flat object with a specific material / transparency?
Is an Image object preferred for rear projection use?
Is there a recommended way to handle opacity / diffusion so the projection looks correct?
Is there a built-in object intended for projection screens, or is a custom surface the standard solution?
I’m interested in Capture’s intended workflow, not external modeling unless necessary.
Thanks a lot !
Pace
Use a flat plane as you would for front projection. Use a material with a low transparency (1%), apply the media player as source teture, and give it a luminance. Set the horizontal scale in the projector to -100, so it flips the image horizontally.
Alternatively, use a material with no texture or media, set the transparency to 50% and backprojection to 100%.
