Hello,
I'm looking for a way to 'flip' fixtures in 3D while keeping the same rotation/position values. So they face 180° the other way.
I have thousands of those as each is a pixel from pixel tape - all with different positions/orientations - so the traditional methods I know won't work.
It's been drawn in another CAD software and imported into Capture using MVR. After the import it looks like the pixels are facing the wrong side.
Attached is a demo file of what I mean - at the moment the pixels are facing bottom and I want an automated way of making them facing up while keeping all the different orientations/positions (which are different on each pixel).
Another solution I thought about (but don't know how to achieve) would be to build a custom flipped pixel fixture.
You can start by exporting Fixture Data in a csv file. Open this CSV file in your worksheet editor and adjust the Rotation for the axes you need for all fixtures (this can be done very quickly with formulas). After you are done with all fixtures, save this as a .csv and then import it as Fixture Data into Capture.
Also, since you are importing from MVR, you can also try the Angular Correction when importing a model from MVR.
Thank you for your reply Giannis.
I tried an Angular Correction of 180° but it doesnt feel to be doing anything.
I can't see any mention of it in the help. Any chance you can explain what it is supposed to do?
