I recently updated to 2.6.12. And eventhough I used to run previous version of polar with no problems, I now get an error message saying my GC is not up to the standards of polar. But when I go to the help tab and see the polar test report it says pass to all!! My GC is NVIDIA Geforce 230M, Im running windows 7 on a HP pavilion Dv6 laptop.

We are constantly working on improving the performance and visual quality of Capture and as a result of this some releases use OpenGL features we haven't used before. A consquence of this is that you may need to upgrade your graphics card drivers!

Hi Yenz,

If you're using a laptop it would be laptop manufacturer, otherwise NVidia's site. If it's a laptop you're at the mercy of your laptop manufacturer to make fresh drivers from NVidia repackaged and available to you. Usually though they have a date for the driver - does it seem new?

*EDIT - NVidia now seem to be releasing drivers directly for laptops. Try NVidia's driver download page!

Hi Lars Ive downloaded the driver, but now have a bit of a problem with Capture lacking. There seems to be about a 1/2 sec delay from I hit a button till I see any output on capture Also when I look in the "universes" tab, the universes says...searching...until I send some DMX, then the universe shows up for about a sec, then it disappears again and say..."searching again... Im using the new Titan mobile from avolites and using artnet.

Hi Yenz,

Capture drops an Art-Net universe if no data is received in 2.5 seconds. It sounds like this is what is happening! As we have interpreted the Art-Net specification (it is a bit unclear here though), DMX should be sent continuosly and not only when changed, but perhaps there is a setting in the Titan software for this?

yeap guys there is

yenz please go to the properties of artnet in titan and enable "continuous artnet data stream" and "always broadcast artnet". In order to reach that menu you have to go to: system, dmx settings, on the left page select artnet, hit the "i" box on the end of that line, and then on the bottom right you will see the options i referred to along with the selection of the network adapter to output through in case you use more than one network adaptors.

i am here if you need any more help, it works seamlessly with avolites titan, no worries.

Hi Both Thanks, it all works now. Still have a lack when I turn on all my sunstrips...its 150 lamps on 15 sunstrips, so maybe too much for my GC...
