    Hi Everyone.

I'm new to capture and currently using the student edition while I'm learning. I'm a video guy and whilst I know capture is capable of much more, my basic goal is to take an NDI output which may have multiple elements of LED screen and map them on to a 3d model I'm supplied.

My NDI feed contains multiple screen surfaces in on output from the server and I have successfully mapped regions created in capture to a flat surface using map to extents. One curved surfaces, this doesn't work and only create the "extent" based on the current angle the camera is looking at, even if the curved surface has a UV map. The only way aroundt this seems to be to create a dedicated NDI input for each curved element but that is going to be timeconsuming.

Ideally I would like to be able to create a region from the NDI input and apply the region to the surface as you would a material, but without having to do a Map to Extent.

    Could this feature be added?

I think some generally better texture mapping options is what's really needed.

The issue you're having is becuase capture can't really handle three dimensional surfaces when mapping textures. To do curved surfaces easily you need to make the model in something external and do the texture mapping/UV mapping there, then only replace the content within the material when it's imported.

Alternatively, when you're using the built in library forms, if they had UV maps that allowed you to map a material in a non-perspective way.

That's an interesting way of thinking about it. I will give that a go and see what happens.
