    Hello Capture,

Love your concept on the new fixture corrections tool. Looking forward to playing around with it when the tutorial comes out. I really like the structured approach to fixture corrections and hopefully this will result in even better visualiser fixtures down the line.

Still, I would want to request that the fixture corrections tool will grow not only in the "scientific" direction but also leave room for quick and dirty adjustments that will just make the visuals look better in a pinch - even in situations where you don't have the fixture in front of you or simply don't have the time.

For instance, when it comes to shutter/strobe values I tend to use only a few presets - open, fast sync and fast rnd. Once I have saved these presets in the programming then it would be super useful if I could make a fixture correction quickly based on something that "feels" correct - as in when you receive DMX value 187 the visualiser should output something that looks like DMX value 155 instead. In this case I don't care about the strobe curve or any values "between" the presets - I just need a quick and dirty fix that works for now.

And again - how would we even document any kind of strobe/FX algorithms based on how it looks on stage? Probably not even feasible.

I'm not trying to undermine the work/direction you are heading with this - I just hope that there will be options to simple corrections like "look-up-tables" even though the documentation tool for that specific feature has not yet been created.

I'm not sure you can say the new correction tools is really that scientific, give that you're adjusting a slider until you see something that matches..

The tutorials are out now by the way!

Our goal is to grow the corrections concept, yes, but I want to reiterate that we're not looking at it as a "quick-fix fixture editor", but rather as a way of providing more advanced tools required for specific types of corrections.

Admittedly it already contains a few of the simple corrections we already had, but that might be mostly for history reasons. It's still important to us to get all corrections into the library, for quality reasons.
