Can we get an extra options for the size indications on the rulers?

I would like to be able to choose if the indicators/numbers go perpendicular or parallel to the ruler. Maybe at a 45 degree angle could be nice in some cases, but not strictly necessary.

This is especially useful for rulers that go downstage to upstage or rulers that indicate height in a section or elevation view.
