Hi, I’m quite new to Capture. After working with Wysiwyg since revision 3.1 (yep, that’s a long time ago), I am very happy to finally have jumped ship to Capture. It has been a real pleasure so far and I am impressed with the pace of innovation and the high quality of the software. The speed with which I can get things done is really impressive.
I am almost through reading the posts on this forum, but I might have missed some, so excuse me if some of my questions have been asked before. Some feature request may just be out of ignorance of how to get things done.
So in no particular order, here is my list:
Library:
Plot:
Wireframe:
PS, I might have posted a few of these questions already in one or two posts. If you prefer I can make separate posts for each item.
i am fully supporting al the things you mention! one of the bigger isue's for me is the fact that you cant creat or explode blocks.. i stil need to do that in S-cad meaning i am stil working on 2 software's instead of one. also the layers arent working quick for me. i would love to see them as a real cad program, merging when importing, selecteble and turn on/off when needed.
I was wondering if I should have split this post into many posts for each request?
Writing many feature requests in a single post doesn't make it easy to discuss them. :-)
Re: custom library items - we want Capture project files to be self-contained so that you are not dependent on the library in order to open a file. It would be handy to have a custom section in the library to store your own objects, but we would still definitely copy them in full when inserted.
Re: library item assocation on import - you should be able to selected any fixture from the library when importing from MVR.
Re: center line - there is a line in the library that lets you choose the pattern. One of the uses for this is to mark the center line!
Re: select all on same layer - this family of commands all function based on the current selection. We will not stray from that.
Understandable!
I was meaning this symbol indicating the centre line, not the line itself:
It is an ASCII symbol, but I needed to convert it into a .svg symbol in order to use it in my plot.
As with most objects in Capture, if you give the Unit property a value, this shows up in its annotation. In this case, select the line and put ℄ in the Unit property and this text will appear. You can double click on the annotation and enable plot adjustments to move it to your desired location.
Thank you so much! I did not think of that!
I do think I keep my currecnt solution though, because otherwise it is not possible to just scale just this text item.
