Hi, I’m quite new to Capture. After working with Wysiwyg since revision 3.1 (yep, that’s a long time ago), I am very happy to finally have jumped ship to Capture. It has been a real pleasure so far and I am impressed with the pace of innovation and the high quality of the software. The speed with which I can get things done is really impressive.

I am almost through reading the posts on this forum, but I might have missed some, so excuse me if some of my questions have been asked before. Some feature request may just be out of ignorance of how to get things done.

So in no particular order, here is my list:

Library:

• Custom Library items for use across files/projects. This way you can have a model library of your own that lives inside Capture, but not inside each file (so putting them into a template file does not really solve the problem.
• If you want to associate library items to items from an mar import, you cannot choose from the whole library. I understand why, but if you only need to import and not export from Capture back into the original source or further down the line, it is a shame you cannot associate a simple Source4 conventional for instance.

Plot:

• Heading text color, separate from text color
• Extra project keywords: - drawn by, revision date/print date, load-in date, technician, contacts
• Ruler text: add text perpendicular to ruler, text top or bottom of ruler
• Make title blocks and legends and keys and Plot Styles exportable (as separate items) to merge them into other files.

Wireframe:

• Transform should be named translate. It does a translation and not a transformation.
• You should be able to choose the Z-axys to be up, to make live easier from people coming from autocad, Vectorworks and wysiwyg.
• Basic extrude functions for quickly editing an imported 2d model
• Basic Break into lines functions for quickly editing an imported 2d model
• Add text on cad and plot
• CL (center line symbol)
• Pan movement in wireframe via arrow keys
• In the properties show how many items are selected. Especially useful for items that are above each other, or accidentally two items on the same position
• Select all items on the same layer (Shift+Cmd+L) should also work with nothing selected. Please make it select all items on the active layer.
• Snap points should override the line snap of a pipe, to accommodate easy spacing along a pipe. I tried grouping snap points every 25 cm to a pipe, but lights do not snap to those points, only to the pipe itself.
