On my laptop with a Nvidia Quadro FX 2500 graphics card, polar works fine with the graphics engine. All pass and green in the options menu.
Now with the new version 2.6 there is a message that my card doesn't support the full graphics.
{Your hardware and driver configuration is not Capture Polar graphics capable! See About for more details. (Revert to Capture 2005 graphics in Options to suppress this warning)}
But in the info menu (v2.6.8) all graphics test report are green passed.
Running Windows XP with SP3, Nvidia driver 176.09
Regards.

Hi,
I have the same problem on my laptop which is running a NVidia GeForce GT330M chipset on Windows 7. Likewise, it ran polar graphics fine until installing 2.6 and still appears to pass all of the tests.
After getting the error message, it switches back to 2005 graphics. I haven't tried installing this on my desktop as I need to keep that working.
Best wishes,
Robert

Hi Robert,
I believe the latest NVidia Quadro drivers are around version 270 now - have you tried updating them?

Lars, I've also got this problem on Nvidia GeForce GT 230M. The message is displayed when Capture starts. In Help/About all tests are passed. Regards, Paul

Hi guys,
The NVidia 'Verde' notebook drivers are currently at version 275.33 - everybody first make sure you have those drivers. That is, get them from NVidia, not your notebook manufacturer. If the problem persists, please send me your Capture log files. It is are located in your home directory (click on you username in the Start menu) and is called Capture.log. Then we'll take it from there!

Hi Lars,
Just updated the drivers to 275.33 and that has fixed it. Sorry - should have checked that first! I'm used to checking the desktop ones, but always seem to forget about the notebook.
Loving the new smoke effects. I like that you have kept the traditional "haze" option as well, in case we need it.
Thanks,
Robert
