You already can patch a media player and then chose the file from the play list, and start stop etc from the 2 channels of dmx that it uses.  See the appendix in the manual for settings.   Theres no time offset though. yor track will need to be cut to the correct places as it stands.

I don't understand the question.
I can find no means of adding a patch to the media, even though the manual says it is possible, it does not explain how.

Media in the real world is the biggest fixture on the stage in the most cases... And you should have control over it. even in the 3D world, espacially when timecoding 

When. you add or double click the media player the 3rd line is Patch.  add your patch in there.

If I was trying to progam stuff on time code or have real control over media I would be using the media server I would use in the real world rather than this player.

It does not state HOW to patch it.
The media tab merely shows indicator saying it is "unpatched."
