Hello, I rendered out a snapshot that I recorded in Capture. In the snapshot I had recorded some Camera movements, in addition to video and DMX. However, I noticed that when playing back the recorded snapshots, the FOV is not following the recorded values. I used the FOV to create a realistic "zoom" effect, but it doesn't retain that information in rendered snapshots. Am I doing something wrong, or is it not possible for the FOV to be altered by DMX in a snapshot?
At the moment Capture stores only camera positions in the snapshots and not the distance to the focus point, nor the FOV or any other camera settings.
This answer indicates that it's a missing feature, but I see it more as a major bug.
FOV, ambient light and exposure is controlled by the patched 'camera' but does not play back! In addition patched smoke does not play back either.
As the values are reset when removing DMX in I had to experiment with values to be able to render my movie. Luckily I had no change in these parameters during the movie!
PS. I just tried the IOS app with the same file but could not find where to adjust the necessary settings there. Is it at all possible?
Not all view setting are available in the iOS app. Everything else mentioned in this post has already been registered as a feature/bug. Please stay tuned to future updates/upgrades.
Thanks for the info. No need to change the app if the record/playback works properly.
I sure hope it will be fixed in an update and not next upgrade! When you change the DMX modes I believe it's necessary to change the recording and playback accordingly. If values are not recorded it should at least stay as set in the interface.
