You surely are aware of the GDTF file format... As i'm working with both capture and vectorworks, and i'm not alone in this case, would you dig on GDTF format, to improve interoperability in between consoles / CAD / fixtures ?
Best regards,
And thanks for great job on C2020 !
Or maybe as altabase is already in-line with the process, it's ready to interoperate ?
At the moment, Capture has no need nor plans to implement GDTF/MVR formats. Our requirements for libraries are totally covered from our library supplier AtlaBase while for 3d geometry exchange we have already implemented glTF which I would encourage you to explore.
As far as I know, GDTF is missing some important elements that are necessary to get the functionality we expect from the capture. As far as I understand it GDTF is missing some crucial elements that are required to give the functionality we want from capture. As far as I know, GDTF is missing some important elements that are necessary to get the functionality we expect from the capture. As far as I know, GDTF is missing some important elements that are necessary to get the functionality we expect from the capture.
Sorry for my last messy response. This editor has some isues with copy and paste when I use my firefox browser on my macbook. :-(
It was my understanding from a comment during the recent Webinar (for release of iOS version) that support for MVR would be included in Capture 2021. Is this not the case?
I had planned on making a full move from WYSIWYG to a combination of Capture and Vectorworks. However, this is largely based on there being support for MVR.
Hi,
Yes, we will be adding support for MVR in Capture 2021. This does not include (or require) support for GDTF though.
This is great news.
Thank you!
