This is the standard behaviour of Capture with an exception on fixtures since plots are intended to be used as construction plans rather than rendered images. In the case of fixtures, the "Paper solid colour" comes to play for the easy of spotting similar fixtures in a glance.

I'm quite often in the situation that I have to mark a dancefloor, FOH or an escape route in a different color.
