I am using Capture as my visualizer for Light Factory (LF). Before upgrading to the latest versions of both LF and Capture I was able to control lights in Capture from LF without issue. However, after the upgrade, the DMX values are not showing up in Capture. I know the two applications are still communicating because I can select lights in LF and the corresponding light in Capture is selected (or highlighted).

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Hi ryan,

Do you know which version you upgraded from/to? It sounds as if something has broken, although we haven't received any reports of other users having problem. I would rollback to using the older version of one of the softwares to see which one is causing the problem!

Thanks for the quick reply, Lars. I upgraded Capture to version 2.4.11. I do not recall the previous version.

However, before upgrading Capture I upgraded LightFactory. After upgrading LightFactory (to version 2.5, build 149), Capture was not receiving the DMX values from LightFactory. This is what prompted me to upgrade to the latest version of Capture to see if that would resolve the issue.

So, it sounds like maybe LightFactory introduced the problem. I will email the LightFactory support team and see if they have any suggestions.

Thanks,

Ryan
