Hi

The unit number of a fixture is by default located at the center of it. As I can understand the unit number is not considered as annotation. So, Is there a way to move it outside the fixture, and even more change the font size and color?

By the way can I add custom text box anywhere in the plot view?

thanks in advance for your help

Hi,

No, I'm afraid the unit number is stuck there in the middle with limited customization options. This is something that we're looking into improving in the future.

Text boxes can be added in the plot editor. If you just need a small note you can add a plot symbol and use it's text field to annotate the plot.

Hello Capture,

So sad to see this has'nt been customisable yet. This has been flagged in 2018 and i'm running into the same issue.

I applied Lars's fix to this unfortunate situation but this is not how you want to spend your day when popping out plot vieuws.  You realy want to keep the name of the LX or flybar together when you reframe your plot vieuw.  This "fix" is time consuming and making you doubt if all info is displayed correctly. Allow me to upload an example on a plot i'm working on; i've zoomed in on the plot but the little "note cards" just stay put in the frame, not following the LX. Also the formfactor of those cards is not ment to be used this way.

Maybe those small things and details will help paperwork become more reliable.

Groeten,

Thomas

Hallo Lars,

Sorry for the confusion i might have caused by not being precise.

In my case i'm refering to the Unit label on the pipes / Flybars on the picture i added.  When a fixture is placed on top op that pipe or bar in the center, the unit label is covered.

Hope this helps to understand what i was referring to 🙂

In that case I'll have ot ask what change in behaviour you're looking for?

Hallo Lars,

I've uploaded an example where fixtures cover the Unit annotation of the pipe (example A), maybe these annotations can be moved to the extends of the pipes as there wont be fixtures fixed passed the length of the pipe? Ive tried this as you suggested before but when reframing of zooming in or out the frame of the paperwork, those text boxes dont follow the pipes.  This is a lot of manual labor when you have to change the content of the box, or move them around as paperwork sometimes changes, plus there is no concistency across the paperwork when it comes about the placing of those boxes.

Thanks for looking into it.

Groeten,

Thomas
