Hello Capture team.

What is the reason for giving each scene slot 4 DMX steps?

Because of this we can only have 64 numbers for scene slots.

Agreed that we rarely have more than 64 scene changes, but i need higher numbers to better organice my scenes.

e.g. scene change in part 1 = 10. Two scene changes in part 7 =70 + 71

Best regards, Alexander

Hi,

The reason is we thought 64 would be more than enough. We have started seeing more designs that have a "large number" of scenes and will quite possibly have to take a closer look at how to deal with this! How many scenes would you need?

Hey Lars.
Because it is controlled via DMX values I would go for 256 slots.
This is the way media servers organize their media librarys.
For me this would be most logical way to do it.

It is not that I want to have 256 scene changes in one play but a mean to organize/name my scene changes in a way that follows the numbering of acts / scenes in the performance.

I am sorry that I can not give you a number of scenes I actual would need, because I can not predigt what the needs of future projekts will be. ;-)

Best regards,

Alexander
