Hi there all...

I've figured out sending video to projectors etc but I cant figure out how to do it to LED walls.

I have a small wall that uses Absen 500m square panels. When I select them there is no option to turn them on or to feed them content in the properties etc..

Can anyone help me out?

Hi Del,

Quick question: Is the plan to have your small LED wall used to play video?

Hi Johnny and thanks for your quick reply..

Yes indeed. I have some content to play on them... I thought that they would work the same way as a projector which I have done successfully a few times within Capture but for some reason that will probably be my fault I can see how to do it with LED panels..

Let's see if I can help. Some things you'll already know, but I feel it'd be best to just go through the steps one at a time.

1) Have your video file added to your Media tab in Capture and have it playing.

2) With all of your LED panels selected, make a new material and drag that material onto your LED video wall.

3) In the Properties window of that material, click on Texture media to select the video file you wish to be shown on your video wall.

4) Looking at the LED wall object, click on the cog icon of and select Map Material. Now the material has been selected. Click on its cog and select map to extents. This will spread your video over the whole wall.

To give your video playback an address, go to the Media tab and click on Settings.... This little window will give you the option to assign an address.

Page 39 of Capture's 22.0 manual shows the DMX values of control for video playback.

Hope this helps.

One more thing.

It seems that you can only map to extents in Wireframe mode. Not Live mode.

Hi Johnny

I knew it was me! Yes as soon as I got to item two in your list, adding a material and switching video on for that... Yes worked a treat..

Thank you so much for your guidance... Excellent..
