Is it possible to add items made in Sketchup to the Library? Ideally in their own folder, What would the file format need to be?

It is not possible to modify the contents of the library at this point, no. In order to arrange for a "personal library", the best approach is to gather Capture project files in a folder and make use of the "Import Model.." feature.
