Whenever I move my viewpoint in PAN it seems to be rotating about a point that is 40M away -

Any ideas on how to change this to zero so a pan is a basic rotate (without using the red handle)

Thanks

Hi,

The camera always rotates around its focus point. You can use the view's "Zoom to front" function to achieve a resetting effect.

Hi Lars - thanks for your response

This doesn't help exactly as I'm trying to get the same movement as 1st person so that I can navigate around a large plot easier....

Could you implement a toggle to flick the camera between fixed focus point rotation and camera 1st person rotation ?

Thanks

Hi,

I believe you're looking for the Shift and Ctrl keys - Shift is a straight movement without rotation and Ctrl a rotation of the camera around itself.

Yes the CTRL view is exactly that - however could the CTRL and SHIFT buttons be added to the camera properties as a tick box so that they are 'held' -

I have a 3dConexion mouse and the keyboard buttons do not seem to work with that (even assigning the 3d connexion buttons as CTRL or SHIFT)

Thanks

Hi,

What you ask for is a little bit too special. We do intend to take another look at the 3D Connexion support though and implement an option to enable the behaviour you describe.
