I'm having a lot of issues with printing to PDF. For some reason when I print to PDF 90% of the time I'm getting large chunks of blank dropped into the final file. I've tried using several different PDF generator/writers and with the same result. Considering it is only capture that is having issues printing to PDF and I've tried different PDF writers I'm guessing it's got to have something to do with Capture.

Anyone else?

Hi,

Since you refer to PDF writers, I assume you're on Windows, right? Dropping chunks could either be a problem with low memory and/or possibly also video card driver related. Are you attempting to print a particularly large file?

Hey Lars,

Yes Windows. I'm on a render machine that we custom built to create renders and shows on.

We are doing large prints to ARCH C and D sized PDF's.... but here's a little thing.....

I realized that the chunks were all rectangular. So I went through a selected the affected windows and hit "Bring to front". That seems to fix the issues. It's as if there is a some sort of ghost view/window/object that appears overlapping the lower layers. I can't see it until it shows up in prints. But if I highlight all the other objects and "bring to front" the ghost is relinquished to the back.

As long as I do that it has no print issues.

Hi,

It sounds like something specific in your showfile then. If you want to send it to support@, we can take a look at it!
