Is it possilbe to bend the LED strip object sharply at split/control points instead of using a bezier curve path?

Thanks!

You can kind of achieve this by putting nodes to be the start middle and end of the corner.

That's one flexible piece of LED tape  @NotAnotherTom, but yes that's the method.

Wow! I tried it. It is doable when you insert a led strip and do it with the leds facing up and making a 90 degree bend (with a small radius off course!). But doing it with the LEDs facing outwards (around a stage deck for instance) is not something I can achieve. I would really like to see a video of someone doing that!

That issue is more due to the LED strip being a 2D object.

You would need to select the nodes from the correct viewport and rotate them. So for the edge of a stage, select them in a front or right view, but position and rotate them in the top view.

attached file as an example. (just change the extension from .zip to .c2p, don't extract it, it isn't actually a zip).

Visually in the wireframe you get some weird artifacts, but in 3D you don't see that.

I have noticed that setting coordinates for LED strip fixtures doesn't quite work correctly. Sometimes it applies to all noed, and sometimes only some nodes.

With tape in the vertical orientation, you don't need the node in the middle of the corner, you can just split it and stack the nodes on top of each other but with a 90 degree turn on the second node.
