For cable lengths, instead of rounding to specific increments, could we have the option to enter a list of the actual lengths available? For example, a company I work with has DMX cables in lengths of 1.5m, 3m, 5m, and 10m, or power cables in lengths of 2.5m, 5m, 10m, 15m, 20m, 25m, and 50m. Increments are of limited use in cases like that.
Oh yeah! I forgot to wrote this one up many times! This would be really helpful.
Suppose you're running a power cable and the distance is 36m. With the lengths you wrote, Capture would then display 50m.
We considered the option of having Capture starting to suggest combinations of cables in cases like this, like 20+20 och 15+25 or 10+10+20.. but then you need an inventory and you need to consider it together with all other cable runs, so we don't think it's feasible.
What are you thoughts on this?
Hi
I think the option of having Capture starting to suggest combinations of cables in cases like this, like 20+20 och 15+25 or 10+10+20.. would be fantastic !!
If we allso could have a "loom" tool to put in a loom whit x amount of cabels to a loom and can apply a Tape-color I would be happy as a puppy !
Cheers
I think if the user could select cable lenghts availble to them ie: 5 feet 10 feet 25 feet DMX cable then having capture list a combination option to meet the distance on the plot that would be helpful. The reality is cable come n defined lengths thereofre havign the software woark as if with was in the real world would be good, It also means prep work would know the combinations needed.
