Hi good morning, I'm trying to do some samples do show to a client. It's a pretty important production and most of it will be lighted up with led strips.

Doing some tests I noticed that he new editable led strip doesn't throw any light..

Also setting an object very closed to it it doesn't light anything..

Am I missing something or is there any issue with it?

I would need an answer faster as possible cause in few days I'll have to show to the client some tests to get decisions.

Thank you.

I seems that a Generic LED strip does not throw light and that the Generic LED tape does.

That is strange, since you can adjust the lumens per meter, which suggests that it should throw light and it is also taking into account the amount of light it throws in a rather porecise way.

Another strange issue is occuring. When I insert an LED strip and rotate it, the glow on the strip doesn't seem to respect the orientation (rotating it away from or facing the camera does not seem to matter).

The Generic LED Strip does not throw light, no. The Lumens per Metre property is there to allow you to control the brightness of its appearance. In the future, when we add the ability for a LED strip to throw light it will control that as well of course.
