Is there a way to create an item and locate it in 3d space using a specific surface as the reference or anchor point? For example, just quickly be able to create a form and it be whatever dimensions but I know I want it's bottom surface to be 3m from the stage floor. Currently I have to do height=3m+(0.5xBoxHeightDimension). I'm hoping for an option to be able to just select lowest part and set height 3m. Basically I want to be able to "surface justify" like you can left or right justify text in word, not just centre.. If not a thing can we have it, 7 option dropdown menu: Justify to: Centre, X lowest value surface, X highest value surface, Y lowest value surface. Y Highest value sufrace Y lowest Y highest.. Where in, really it's just doing the (in my example) +0.5xheightdimension math for us and applying it to x,y or z postion, depending on which you chose You could go wild and add individual options for x y and z, therefore able to "justy" to a corner. ex, lower x, lower y and lower z at the same time. I know, in a simple case of a box, it's easy, but really annoying when lots of items of varying dimensions at differing heights.
I would like to be able to choose in options: Insertion point for new Library->Objects y: top, bottom or centered (default) and x and z: left, right or centered (default).
This would apply only to items from the Objects tab, so not to Fixtures, Trusses, etc.
