Hi,

i really like the new smoke rendering engine but id love to change some more detailed settings, as i, for example dont like how fast a beam in the smoke is fading of over distance.
Also id love to have the option that the Automatic Exposure adjusts to the smoke density amount, because at the moment i really have to push the exposure offset when im going above 40% smoke density.

Thanks,

The density of the smoke is what controls how fast the beam fades over distance - you can't really disconnect that and maintain realistic behaviour.

We do want to improve the automatic exposure in a future version of Capture as it's sample-based and not histogram-based at the moment. Until them you'll have to sport the exposure adjustment manually.

Hi.

I’m experiencing a similar issue with this new smoke.  After adding the smoke output, I’m constantly losing the intensity completely.

Now I understand that adjusting expose will help maintain the view, but I’m struggling to keep track of where my actual brightness is.  This is different from concerts where my theatre work involves scenes with and without haze.
