Is there a way to set the priority of which protocol should provide DMX data to a universe, either at the universe level or within a DMX universe?
Example:
Your setup requires the use of sACN or Art-Net (e.g., for use with Zacktrack, D3, Resolume, etc.), while you have limited access to parameters on your lighting console. At the same time, other DMX universes that do not rely on merging are configured to use MA-Net and Viz-Key.
For DMX universes using external protocols as input, the configuration is currently limited to either automatic selection or a single manually selected input source per universe.
It would be handy to have the option to define priority between input sources, or to enable merging on a per-channel basis within a DMX universe, especially in setups that require combining multiple protocols.
I agree it would be useful, but I'm curious for your use case, does it not make the most sense to handle all the merging inside MA3 and output by Viz-Key? I believe that should work if you just grant yourself the universes/parameters required to control external equipment and merge the outputted DMX data inside MA.
Have not tested but I believe the limitation on parameters is only for output not input, would be very interesting if that's not the case!
