Hi, I've been researching on the existing forums but I still have some questions.
First question: Previously in Capture, when you attached a fixture to a truss using the magnet, it allowed you to move the truss to another location and everything attached to it would move as well. Is that correct? Has this changed?
I currently have version 2025, and when I attach a fixture to the truss using the magnet, changing the truss height leaves the fixture at its previous height. Only the truss moves.
I've read on the forums that the "solution" is to group everything, lights and truss.
When I do that, another problem arises: when I move the truss, it doesn't move to the desired height because the group origin is different from the truss's. How do I solve this problem?
Hello, Nothing was changed in regards to fixtures attached to a truss It never became part of the truss, so maybe you are confused, with other 3D software... In regards to relocating a truss height, you are correct about the origin point change.. But tha's also the case for the truss, as its center point is neither top or bottom trim point, which is basically where you aim your truss height.. :-) - You can use the Transport command, to move the entire group to a desired height - You can also trim truss height, than retattach fixtures, from Side view
