Hi,
I've recently been finding myself having to integrate custom LED systems into lighting designs. I not only use Capture for previz, but also heavily lean on it for plots and reports, including power calculations. For custom LED systems with LED drivers, I usually use the "Omnidirectional Bulb" fixture (with custom symbols) to add these into plots and make sure they show up on reports correctly. One downside, which has been confirmed to my by customer support over e-mail, is that the omnidirectional bulb is currently the only fixture in capture that does not have a "rating" field for including them into power calculations.
It would be very useful to me if a user-settable rating field was added to the omnidirectional bulb fixture, in the same way that is has a user-settable "weight" field for weight calculations in reports.
It was suggested to use a report item grouped with a symbol for this usecase, which does make the fixture show up correctly in reports, but it then does not get the tail annotations for circuit, channel and patch in plot views. Additionally, using that configuration, the "unit" field is not reflected in the reports, resulting in inconsistent documentation.
Below are an example plot and fixture report that hopefully illustrate my point. In these images, fixture 101 is a generic par64 to expect behaviour i'd expect from regular fixtures. Fixture 102 is an Omnidirectional Bulb, and fixture 103 is a report item grouped with a symbol.
