So I have created a couple of different shows at the same venue - primarily because I dont always have my floor package on the show, sometimes guest LD's bring their own.

My floor package is 4 upright towers. (GT pre-rig) each with 8 fixtures.  I was wondering if there is a way I could create one of these towers as a 'user defined' fixture that I could add to my library and select/insert it in any future shows?  Just trying to eliminate having to build this tower everytime I want to use it.

Thanks!!!

I dont think you can add stuff to the library. But you could create a base Capture file with everything broken out into layers and make a filter that only includes the towers. Then, you can drag and drop the completed towers from the imprort model dialogue. Bonus, if the base file contains your venue model, you can use the import at original location to have them go to the same spot..

I think it would be cool to add a USER PRESET/LIBRARY though.  Maybe not necessarily to the in built library, but to some sort of user folder where I could build a prerig and simply drage it into any show that I create.

It's not a bad idea to be able to add builds to the library, we want to enable this some day.

In the meanwhile however if you know you have it in a project you can use the Import Model command in the File menu to open that project file, select the build and drag and drop it into your design. This way all your existing project files are custom libraries in a way.
