A colleague has recently created a capture presentation for me with 3 x CS-1000 mk4 Lasers in the rig.
I am sending DMX to them to trigger built in patterns but not seeing anything in Capture. I have checked they are correctly addressed and can see that capture is receiving the DMX being sent on the correct channels. (see screenshot)
Also no test pattern appears from the lasers, I don't know if this is normal?

Usually things like spot macro's or built in patterns do not visualize in Capture. So it could be that.

I see, so the 200 patterns or so built into this laser are probably not part of the fixture profle in capture?
Surely I should see something when I turn up the intensity though? I watched a capture live stream and they said that if a laser has no data sent to it, it will display a test pattern.
DMX lasers are mainly present in our library for conceptual design (show up in plots, reports...). Pattern visualization requires streaming protocols (CITP/CAEX, LaserAnimation, or Pangolin Beyond) that transmit actual pattern data.Only basic beam attributes (on/off, intensity, color, position) will still respond to DMX as expected.For more information, see section 19.4.2 of the Reference Manual regarding supported laser protocols.
