Could we have an view option where only the 'Current' layer can be selected? It would help to avoid selecting the wrong thing when hopping around layers to make adjustments to the plot / positions of things without having to toggle all the check boxes 'unselectable' for every layer but the one you want to use.

It would also be great to be able to 'grey' out the layers that aren't the current layer.
