I've been investigating a workflow in which I model my stage with fixtures in Vectorworks and then import it into Capture. It's working pretty well overall, as long as all the fixtures I use in VW are GDTF enabled. However one thing is not importing: textures. MVR is supposed to include textures in the file format, right? The textures aren't coming through though. I can see in the Capture Import Window I am getting error messages, example: "ERROR: Failed to load texture for material 'PAS010 RT" from 'PAS010 RT_diffuse.png'" and so forth. Is this a limitation of Capture or is there maybe something I am not doing right with the export from VW? Vectorworks 2024 > Capture 2024 Windows 11 Chris Steele "OnlySlightlyBent"
In all likelihood there's something wrong with your exported MVR if you are getting these error messages. You would need to send us some example files so we could take a closer look. Please drop us a mail at support@capture.se!
