Is it possible to create custom fixtures in the student edition?
My light is just 3 channels for RGB, the closest I can find is the ACMI colourfusion but its 4 channels (the 4th being light intensity).
Custom fixture builder is not supported in Capture. You may use the fixtures found under the generic brand of our fixture library that have a lot of their values editable through the selected items menu.
Hi, in the full version is it possible to create fixtures or change the channel assignment?
No, this is not possible in Capture. You would need to reach out to our library team have them make the corrections for you.
but is it a current limitation or will it remain like this for the future?
will there ever be a function that allows you to view the patch of a device before inserting it?
and last question, is there a way to insert fixtures into a favorite library?
thanks a lot
1. At the moment there is no need for a fixture builder as our library department responds within a couple of days, so if you find anything missing or has wrong values, you may send us a relevant email at library@capture.se and we will take care of it.
2. Not sure I follow. But have you tried having the universes window (Window->Universes...) next to your working view?
3. There is no such tool present at the moment but you may request this to our dedicated Feature Request forum. In the meantime, you may use the Recent category found on the Library tab if that helps your workflow.
hi,
for point 2, yes in the universe window you can see the patch, but I was wondering if it can be integrated into the library, so while you search for the right device you can check if it is compatible before inserting it, assign a patch and then check if it is correct or not.
