Hello,
I use Capture for my own : presentations, reports, simulation, motion control, all that is very useful tools. But as soon as I have to send a plot to a venue, to exchange plots for a festival for example (plots that are a compilation of many Companies), I have to do the work again on a Qcad.
Because :
- On Capture’s plot in paper format (Capture’s pdf export) : we can see Gels filters and Patch and Channel for fixtures.
- On Capture’s plot in drawing format : on the plots the attributes do not figure, which is normal.
- On a Capture DWG export, opened with Autocad. : The view we have for the plot is the one of the drawing format : with no indication of gels filters and patch and channels. Of course for each fixture we can check the attributes.
BUT : those attributes are not written on the plot (eventhough the attributes are activ in Autocad parameters). So when I exchange with a venue, the technical director receive this plot, and it is the one he will print for the set up. And there is no fixture's information on it.
Basically : I would be interested to develop a way for having the attributes (gels and channels) that are on Capture paper plot on the DWG export plot. That would be useful.
Thank you for your feed back.
Sabine
This is something we are definitely working towards.
