Hi Lars,

I'm trying to connect Capture to a console via ENTTEC ODE: Ethernet/DMX Interface. The ENTTEC device is talking to my computer on its own network. When I start Capture, the Artnet Universe is not found. I've restarted the program after changing the network as well as resetting all IPs a couple times. I'm at a loss. Anything you can think of that I may not have tried would be great.

Im just wondering if there is a way to connect HOG4 PC running on a separate PC to Capture running on a Mac? There is the Hog visualisation connectivity that you can download for a PC to work, but I can not seem to get my ac to see anything... What am I missing?

Hi Christopher,

I'll answer you here as well in case somebody reads your question. For direct Hog 4 PC connectivity you are dependent on a software component (the "Visualization Connectivity Driver"). Since High End haven't made this available for Mac you cannot accomplish a connection unless you could actually get some ArtNet or sACN output from it.

Hi we are having problems connecting to an MA2 via art net with Capture 2.11.26 on both Mac and PC we were able to get it working by using Capture 2.11.25 with the PC, will try the Mac tonight..... wondering if any body else has had issues with this?

I am as well. And with multiple versions of MA2 software. I can get Capture to recognize version 2.8.3, but not 2.9.1, 3.0.1 or 3.0.2. My artnet node spits out DMX just fine, and the console sees Capture via CITP, but no Artnet connectivity. The Mac that has the Capture software on it pings the node and the console just fine, so the network is okay. Please help!

If you have the ma lighting hardware you should experience no problems by connecting through artnet.

Does it connect with ma-net instead? Please make sure in Capture that the MA-Net version is the one like your ma hardware. You can verify that by going to Tools/Connectivity/MA_Net/Ma-net compatibility .

I do not have an MA_Net option under Connectivity. I'm running Capture version 2.11.26 and MAonPC version 3.0.0.4 with an onPC wing. Still no connection via artnet.

The MA-Net options are available if you right click in the "External Universes" list of Capture's "Universes" tab.
