Name of an imported object in plot mode.

Hello,
I have a pretty simple question but seams like the anwser is pretty hard to find.
After importing a 3d object (.OBJ), I wanted to add name to it in paper mode, so i specified it a unit name, but nothing appears. Is there a tip to achive this

Hi folks I have come across some fantastic projects on you tube. I was wondering how these were done. I can only save as a still image and was wondering how these movies were done. I'm guessing with cameras in the program. I would like to present some design work like this just not sure how to achieve it. Thanks

Bare Lamp

Anyone have luck with a bare lamp; something with an omni throw. So far the closest I've come up with is a small cluster of generic incandescent lamps with 120deg optics. A single 360deg fixture would be much nicer.
I'd really like to be able to visualize a single lamp hanging above a stage or a string of party lights.

I've only been experimenting with the student version of the software right now but am really growing to like what it can do. I understand that the student libraries are more limited than in the full version so I've got a question about the library in the full version.
Is there a bare bulb fixture I'm thinking ahead in terms of onstage practicals in a theatrical setting or other custom fixtures like building the lettering for a band like KISS in a concert design or festoon light st...
