This Monday marked the opening of the Grace Period for the soon-to-be-released Capture 2026 version. Below you will find all the relevant dates and information that we announced last night during our webcast. If you missed it live, we encourage you to watch it now and be among the first to discover some of the new features revealed by our product manager.
Here are the important dates:
Grace Period - Monday 30th of March until Wednesday 22nd of April
Prerelease Access - Tuesday 31st of March
Release Webcast - Tuesday 21st of April
General Release - Wednesday 22nd of April
During the Grace Period, any purchase made on our webshop, or through a reseller, is entitled to a free upgrade to Capture 2026. Valid purchases include any of the following:
- New licences of Capture 2025
- Edition upgrades between Capture 2025 editions
- Version upgrades to Capture 2025 from previous versions
The upgraded key files are emailed automatically on the day of the release, without any action required by licence owners. No exceptions will be made to the announced Grace Period dates to ensure fairness and transparency for all our users.
The release of Capture 2026 also marks the end of support for Capture 2020. This means that from the 22nd of April onwards there will be no upgrade path available for purchase. However, any Capture 2020 users who upgrade now during the Grace Period will receive a free upgrade to Capture 2026 on the 22nd of April.
