We're currently having some internationalisation issues on macOS.

In Capture 2026 it's currently not possible to make use of macOS's advanced input methods when editing text properties in property lists and tables. This includes:

• Dead key composition, ie. combining an accent with a character such as ´ and a to create á.
• Accessing the character accent menu by holding a key.
• Accessing the character candidate window used to input Chinese.

Furthermore macOS Tahoe 26 has begun introducing font handling changes which has affected the rendering of some Chinese symbols.

We are currently working on all these issue, starting with the advanced input methods. We intend to release a 2026.1 update that fixed this. After this we will begin looking into the font handling changes introduced with macOS 26. At this point it remains unclear how fast we will be able to adress those.
