Capture Visualisation acquires AtlaBase

On December 20^th 2024, Capture Visualisation AB acquired AtlaBase Ltd.

Upon the merge, the name of the Greek subsidiary was changed to Capture Visualisation Ltd, bringing all employees into the same Capture Visualisation group of companies.

Capture 2024 Licencing Changes

Along with the launch of Capture 2024 this year we will be introducing some improvements to the way Capture licences are managed.

We are lifting the restriction of licences being installed indefinitely on a computer by having Capture communicate uninstallations to our systems.

Adopting the ℄ character

Making sure that Capture functions well with as many languages as possible is very important to us.

New Library Updates Forum

Capture stands in solidarity with Ukraine

In the past days we have followed the Russian invasion of Ukraine with horror and disbelief. We wish to extend our fullest and most heartfelt support to the citizens of Ukraine.

We are, effective immediately, putting a hold on sales to Russia and Belarus.

An update on macOS and GPUs

Since the release of Capture 2020 we have been maintaining the Mac Metal Issues page, tracking issues with Capture 2020 on specific Mac GPUs.

Following the release of macOS 11.1 and Capture 2020.0.54 we are now pretty much calling it case closed.

COVID-19 update to licensing policies

In an immediate response to the needs of educational institutions due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have updated our educational license policies. Educational Capture key files can now be unlocked on computers owned by students at home until the end of August.

An update on macOS and Intel GPUs

In a blog post the 4th of January we described GPU driver issues in macOS that prevent us from supporting Intel GPUs on macOS in Capture 2020.

The latest update on the matter is that Apple have informed us that they are waiting for Intel to address these issues.

Capture Polar end of support

Future macOS GPU compatibility

Due to bugs in Apple's Metal drivers, our upcoming Capture 2020 release may only support AMD GPUs. GPUs from Intel and NVidia will likely have to be explicitly unsupported until Apple release macOS updates that resolve the bugs.

Capture 2019 released

Product specialist hired: Vasilis Ziogas

His name is Vasilis Ziogas and has many years of field experience in the entertainment industry. He is currently a director of AtlaBase and has worked as a lighting designer in the past.
